🐾Kindergarten is starting a new unit with stories that have a message. Math, they are starting subtraction.
🐾1st grade has started unit 6 in reading about mistakes and what they can teach us. In writing, it’s all about opinions! They are using the O.R.E.O. methods to write opinions, reasons, and evidence. In math, exploring number patterns and place value.
🐾2nd grade working on money. Reading, they are working on point of view and summarizing a story using a story map.
🐾3rd grade learning about adjectives, conjunctions, hyperbole, and point of view. Math, learning fractions. Social Studies, learning continents. Science, learning Earth’s spheres.
🐾4th grade learning POV in Reading. Math, learning Equivalent fractions. Science, learning Food webs.
🐾Special Class, Guidance is learning about online safety.

🐾1/29- parent teacher conferences 3pm-6pm, no after school daycare.
🐾Please get your skating forms turned in this week.
🐾Dresden youth softball/baseball registration for 2026 season is going on now through February 28th.

🐾Kindergarten: letter P, popcorn with the principal, numbers 0-10
🐾1st grade: good citizen in our community, read words with s-blends, subtracting up to 20 welcome back student teachers
🐾2nd grade: government, adding with regrouping
🐾3rd grade: government, fact families, solar system
🐾4th grade: Peter Pan and The Wizards of Oz (dramas and poetry) factors, 2 digit x 1 digit multiplication, subtracting.

🐾Kindergarten- learning about the letter S, nouns, counting and learning how characters affect the story
🐾First grade- working on short vowels, key details to tell a story in events, learning to add and subtract by 10
🐾Second grade- finishing topic two and starting topic three which is 2-digit strategies, starting a unit in reading on characters and challenges they face
🐾Third grade- about to start a unit about character traits, learning multiplication and division strategies
🐾Fourth grade- writing their first formal essay, reviewing place value, comparing large numbers and getting ready to start rounding
🐾Special class- kickball in PE is going great
Mr. Stacey is excited about Red Ribbon Week that will be coming up at the end of October.
