🐾Kindergarten- learning about the letter S, nouns, counting and learning how characters affect the story
🐾First grade- working on short vowels, key details to tell a story in events, learning to add and subtract by 10
🐾Second grade- finishing topic two and starting topic three which is 2-digit strategies, starting a unit in reading on characters and challenges they face
🐾Third grade- about to start a unit about character traits, learning multiplication and division strategies
🐾Fourth grade- writing their first formal essay, reviewing place value, comparing large numbers and getting ready to start rounding
🐾Special class- kickball in PE is going great

🐾Kindergarten- In math they are learning the numbers 0-5. In reading they are learning about the letter M. They are also practicing writing their first name.
🐾1st grade- In reading, they are learning about life cycles, and in math they are adding and subtracting to 10.
🐾2nd grade- In math, they just finished adding and subtracting 20, and now they are learning about even and odd numbers. In reading, they are finding the main idea using key details.
🐾3rd grade- In reading, they are comparing and contrasting inferences and adaptation, and in math working on multiplication and division.
🐾4th grade- They are working on place value, learning about energy, finding the main ideas and details within a text.
🐾Special Class- Third grade art is learning about the Artist James Rizzi.

🐾 Kindergarten is finishing up a unit on holidays and celebrations. They are looking forward to talking about weather and the seasons. In math, they are reviewing numbers 11-20. Keep practicing at home for our AimsWeb test in May.
🐾 First Grade is learning about past, present and future in our reading unit. In math, they are working on learning place value. In phonics, they are still working on words with vowel teams.
🐾 Second Grade is learning where ideas for inventions come from and how to identify important details. In math, they are learning place value and how to write numbers in expand and word form.
🐾 Third Grade is starting to learn the 50 States. In math, they are learning to solve problems. Case testing is next week.
🐾 Fourth Grade, in math, they are learning mixed numbers, fractions, and improper fractions.

First Grade – First grade is finishing a unit on technology and learning about how things change. In math, they are counting to 120 by 1’s and 10’s and counting on from a given number. They are also working hard on fluency and decoding every day.
Second Grade- Second grade is learning all about how different points of view can change a story. In math they are wrapping up counting money and starting to learn all about clocks and how to tell time.
Thirds Grade- Third grade just finished learning the continents and oceans and are starting the 50 states. In math they are learning all about fractions. In reading they are learning about the advancements of technology.
Fourth Grade- Fourth grade is learning about the war of independence in History. In math they are learning about fractions.
